Global retail prices of fertilizers have risen sharply, with urea prices increasing by 27% in a month!

According to a survey by DTN, a U.S. agricultural market data provider, fertilizer retail prices continued to rise rapidly in the second week of April. 
In the second week of April, the average price of nitrogen fertilizers reached $858 per ton. Among them, urea saw the largest increase, with its price rising by 27% compared to last month. The average price of liquid ammonia was $1,114, up 20% from last month. The average price of UAN32 (urea ammonium nitrate solution with 32% N content) was $579, up 19% from last month. The average price of UAN28 (urea ammonium nitrate solution with 28% N content) was $520, up 10% from last month. The average price of 10-34-0 compound fertilizer was $717, up 7% from last month. The average prices of diammonium phosphate and monoammonium phosphate were $894 and $932 respectively, both up 5% from a week ago. Potash fertilizer had an average price of $491, being the only category that saw a slight increase compared to last month. 
In terms of the price per pound of nitrogen, the price of urea is $0.93, that of liquid ammonia is $0.68, that of UAN28 is $0.93, and that of UAN32 is $0.91. 
At present, the prices of all eight types of fertilizers are higher than those of the same period last year, with six of them achieving double-digit year-on-year growth. Specifically, the price of urea has risen by 49% compared to the same period last year, the price of liquid ammonia has increased by 43%, the price of UAN28 has gone up by 37%, the price of UAN32 has risen by 29%, the price of diammonium phosphate has increased by 15%, the price of monoammonium phosphate has gone up by 13%, the price of 10-34-0 content compound fertilizer has risen by 9%, and the price of potash fertilizer has increased by 5% compared to the same period last year.
