Organic Water-Soluble Fertilizers and Inorganic Water-Soluble Fertilizers
Based on their nutrient content, water-soluble fertilizers can be classified into organic and inorganic types.
I. Inorganic Water-Soluble Fertilizers
Their primary raw materials include nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and microelements; therefore, any water-soluble fertilizer composed of inorganic nutrients can be classified as an inorganic water-soluble fertilizer. In terms of form, inorganic water-soluble fertilizers are primarily solid, with liquid forms being less common.
II. Organic Water-Soluble Fertilizers
What are organic water-soluble fertilizers? Their primary raw materials are organic substances (such as amino acids, seaweed extracts, humic acid, and proteins). By using these added organic substances as a base solution or main carrier, and then incorporating macronutrients, secondary and trace elements, or certain synergistic components to synthesize a water-soluble fertilizer, the resulting product is called an organic water-soluble fertilizer. Currently, organic water-soluble fertilizers on the market are primarily liquid; solid forms are relatively rare.
In practical application, since organic water-soluble fertilizers do not provide as rapid and intense a nutrient release as inorganic water-soluble fertilizers, it is recommended to use a combination of inorganic and organic water-soluble fertilizers during top-dressing in the crop’s rapid growth phase to achieve optimal results.
