Which fertilizers are nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium fertilizers?
Among chemical fertilizers, nitrogen fertilizers include: urea, ammonium bicarbonate, ammonium nitrate, ammonium chloride, and others. Phosphorus fertilizers include: superphosphate, calcium-magnesium phosphate, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, and others. Potassium fertilizers include: potassium sulfate, potassium chloride, potassium nitrate, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, and others.
Almost all organic fertilizers contain nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, though the concentrations vary. The organic fertilizers with the highest nutrient content include chicken, duck, and goose manure; human urine and feces; soybean meal; and pig manure, among others. In addition to nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, organic fertilizers also contain various trace and microelements; however, plant ash does not contain nitrogen.
